Talented Chelsea winger Charly Musonda will only be let out on loan to a Premier League side for the rest of the season, TalkSport reports via Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
Musonda signed an extended contract with Chelsea in December that ends in 2022. However, the Blues can’t guarantee the youngster playing time having just six appearances to his name this season.
Het Laatste Nieuws reports the plan for the champions is to let Musonda go to a fellow Premier League club. However, there has been no reported interest of any top-flight English team wanting Musonda on loan.
The 21-year-old spent the first half of last season at Spanish club Real Betis but failed to get any consistent playing time there.
Chelsea may be forced to loan Musonda to foreign club
The desire from the club to give Musonda playing time is clear, but we may have to put up with loaning him to another league.
The Belgian definitely deserves a move at a well-established club having showcased his talents for quite some time.
If a club from another big European division wanted to sign him on a short-term deal on deadline day, Chelsea will likely accept any advances for the player.
