MAURIZIO SARRI IS CLOSE TO BECOMING CHELSEA MANAGER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
Sarri has been continually linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the past month. Antonio Conte’s future at the club has been in serious doubt after his failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Sarri has been considered the favourite to replace his compatriot, despite links to now Spain manager Luis Enrique and former Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc.
Conte has stood firm, however. He has refused to resign, despite the club clearly not wanting him to see out the remainder of his contract.
Roman Abramovich will now bite the bullet and sack him in order to get Sarri through the door, as per Napoli president De Laurentiis.

Sarri’s Napoli were a joy to watch last season. We’re incredibly excited to see what he could do with this stagnating Chelsea side.
We eagerly await official confirmation of his appointment.
