Former Manchester United and Everton midfielder Phil Neville has said that Chelsea had things easy last season, The Mail reports.
The champions’ hopes of retaining the title are looking unlikely being 11 points off league leaders Manchester City
When speaking to BBC’s Match of the Day, Neville also ridiculed Antonio Conte after he’s expressed the disappointment of the club’s summer transfer dealings, as The Mail reports.
“He’s talking too much about tiredness and the fixture list. He’s moaning about having the fixtures after the Champions League.”
Hard to disagree with Neville
It’s fair to say that one of the reasons behind our title triumph last season was down to playing fewer games than our rivals.
Despite Conte not having the squad he desires, I wouldn’t be surprised if the board go all guns blazing and sign some players in January.
At least this would improve our chances of having a better season than we are at the moment.
