Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Antonio Conte and their backroom staff ahead of his dismissal.
The time where Chelsea fans will be forced to wave goodbye to Conte is fast approaching. The Italian’s departure has been unofficially confirmed for several weeks now, but the club have made no announcements as such.
However, the Daily Mail believe that Conte is set to be dismissed and replaced by former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri.
The report claims that Chelsea have agreed termination fees with Conte and his backroom staff ahead of Sarri’s arrival. It will bring an end to what has been a rollercoaster two-years at Stamford Bridge.
As per the Daily Mail, Chelsea will pay £9.5M to see the back of Conte and his staff. Add that onto the fee we’ll have to pay to release Sarri from his Napoli contract and this whole situation is looking a little pricy.
At the end of the day, though, we’ll have a new manager and be able to focus on transfers for the first time this summer. We can’t wait for Sarri to get started.
