Chelsea’s man between the posts Thibaut Courtois has hailed Eden Hazard as arguably the best player in the Premier League, chelseafc.com reports.
Hazard has been relentless in the past week, scoring a brace against West Brom and a goal against Qarabag.
When speaking to the club’s official website earlier today, Courtois acknowledged the recent form of Hazard.
Courtois is quoted by chelseafc.com saying:
“He was brilliant. I think Eden is a wonderful player, maybe the best in the league.”
Chelsea is yet to agree on an extension for both of the player’s contracts as talks stalled over the summer. However, according to The Telegraph, the club are confident deals for the pair can be completed at the end of the season.
With games coming thick and fast, both players will be focused on the Premier League fixture against Swansea on Wednesday.
The importance of Courtois and Hazard will be vital in any hopes of the Blues winning back-to-back league titles.
