Liverpool appear to be on the verge of striking a deal to sign Brazil number one Alisson Becker from Roma. With Courtois’ future at Chelsea in major doubt, Alisson is one of few goalkeepers of a similar quality that we could realistically bring in this summer.
Progression in Courtois’ move to Real Madrid seems to have prompted Liverpool into making a move to sign Alisson before our need for a new keeper drastically increases.
If Chelsea are serious about signing Alisson, in anticipation of Courtois’ departure, they need to move fast.
As reported by Sky Italy’s Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Liverpool have submitted a new bid, which matches Roma’s valuation of their goalkeeper.

The price mentioned by Romano is €75M. It’s unclear whether Chelsea would be willing to pay that much – but do we have a choice?
We ought to raise whatever we can through the sale of Courtois and put it towards a deal for Alisson before it’s too late.
