Chelsea are reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Russia international Aleksandr Golovin from CSKA Moscow.
This has been claimed by Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano, who posted the below tweet on Tuesday night.

Romano is as reliable as they come. This news comes as reassurance to Chelsea fans amid claims the deal could collapse.
It became clear during the World Cup that Chelsea’s interest in signing Golovin was genuine, and yet no deal has been completed.
There were claims that AS Monaco could enter the race and offer more money in exchange for the Russian, but they have fast been waved away.
Following the claim from Romano that the deal is at an advanced stage, it seems as though Golovin will soon become a Chelsea player.
If you weren’t impressed by his performance at the Emirates, you will have been by the way he carried himself at the World Cup.
He’s destined for the top, and we’re going to benefit from his development.
