Chelsea have reportedly drawn-up a three-man shortlist to replace N’Golo Kante, should the Frenchman opt to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
On Sunday night, we brought you the news that PSG were lining up a summer move to try and poach Kante from Chelsea. It’s thought that he could be open to the idea of moving to the Parc des Princes this summer, with Chelsea holding out for a fee in the region of €80M for one of our prize assets.
If Kante does depart, which we are all hoping doesn’t happen, Chelsea already have a contingency plan in place. According to Paris United, Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele, Napoli’s Amadou Diawara and OGC Nice’s Jean Michael Seri are all options to replace our player of the year.
All three players are of a similar mould to Kante – and all three are younger. Chelsea appear keen to acquire a midfielder who is able to grow into the role that Kante has occupied during his two-years at Stamford Bridge.
Best case scenario, though, Kante stays put. He’s the best in his position in the world, bar none. What do you think, Blues? Let us know in the comments.
