Remember Marko Marin? The man once branded ‘The German Messi’ is now playing for Olympiacos in Greece following four unsuccessful loan spells during his time as a Chelsea player.
The now 29-year-old (yes, twenty-nine) has scored eight goals in all competitions this term. He appears to have found his feet at the Karaiskakis Stadium, but swiftly lost them again after being nudged by a match-official.
Marin was pushed by the referee while pleading for a penalty during his side’s 1-0 loss to Apollon Smirnis. He threw himself to the ground and was subsequently shown a yellow card. It’s hilarious and well worth a watch.
Marko Marin’s plan to get the REFEREE sent off backfired somewhat!
