Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of their trip to Swansea this weekend.
The former Premier League champions have been offered an avenue back into the top four, when it previously appeared as though our hopes of qualifying for the Champions League were over.
If we defeat the Swans, we could close the gap between ourselves and Liverpool to just four points. That may still seem like a considerable amount considering how little of the season remains, but Jurgen Klopp’s men still have to pay a visit to Stamford Bridge before the end of the season.
One thing’s for sure, only three points will do this weekend, and we’ve been offered major encouragement ahead of our visit to the Liberty Stadium.
As BBC Sport report, defenders Federico Fernandez and Kyle Bartley have been ruled out of the contest. Carlos Carvalhal’s side are facing a real injury crisis at the back, and Eden Hazard will be licking his lips.
