Alvaro Morata’s future at Chelsea is once again under the spotlight.
As per Sky Sports, the striker wouldn’t rule out a return to Real Madrid one day, despite leaving the club in July.
This isn’t the first time Morata has indicated he won’t be a Blue till the end of his career. In October, the player talked about his long-term future at the club in an interview with Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Just a few weeks since that interview, the 25-year-old has now spoken to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser. Despite admitting he is a Real fan, the player confirmed his commitment to Chelsea.
Sky Sports quotes Morata saying:
“Of course I would return to Real Madrid, but it’s complicated, I’m a fan of Madrid but a Chelsea player.”
Will Morata stay at Chelsea for the foreseeable future?
The club has to be concerned with Morata feeling unsettled not for the first time this season.
The comments should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, it’s not great when a player that has just joined the club is already speaking about leaving us one day.
Morata should be focused on the near future and continuing the form he showed against Manchester United on Sunday.
