Antonio Conte has been given the recognition that he deserves after a stellar debut season in West London.
Conte took charge at a side who had finished tenth in the Premier League table, and turned them into champions in less than a year.
After all his good work this term, Sky Sports report that Conte has been named LMA and Premier League manager of the year. He is the second Italian to scoop the accolades in two years, after Claudio Ranieri was awarded them after Leicester’s unlikely title triumph.
At the time of writing, few would argue that Conte is the best manager in world football. Four consecutive league titles, and an impressive Euro 2016 campaign with an ordinary Italy side – he does seem to have the magic touch.
Fingers crossed that this is just the beginning of the Conte revolution at Chelsea. He is the right man to re-establish us as a European superpower.
