Chelsea are on the verge of sacking Antonio Conte after two-years in charge of the club.
When Conte got his hands on the Premier League title in May last year, few would have thought it’d end this way.
The Italian’s relationship with Marina Granovskaia and the rest of the Chelsea board has been at breaking point for the past 12-months. It’s a surprise he’s lasted this long.
He has continually bemoaned our lack of activity and ambition in the transfer market, with his negative outlook affecting on-field performances.
Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League last season, and Conte will suffer the consequences for his shortfalls.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that Maurizio Sarri is close to becoming Chelsea manager. This suggests that Conte has already been dismissed.
Napoli president De Laurentiis: “Sarri is close to being the new Chelsea manager. My lawyers are in talks with his lawyers to finalise everything.”

With his departure appearing imminent, we’d like to thank Antonio for all his hard work – and the silverware. Grazie, Conte!
