John Terry has taken to Instagram to thank Antonio Conte after it became clear that Chelsea had sacked the Italian.
Terry was given the opportunity to work under Conte in the 2016/17 campaign, despite it seeming as though his time as a Chelsea player was set to come to an end.
Conte provided him with a new lease of life, and although he wasn’t a permanent fixture in the team, he did add another Premier League winners’ medal to his cabinet at the season’s end.
Terry appears to have only fond memories of life under Conte. He posted the below image on Instagram, thanking his former manager ahead of his departure.
This is an emotional time for all Chelsea fans. Regardless of whether you believe sacking Conte is the right decision, we’re sure that your heart is aching right now.
