The Telegraph have drawn up a nine-man shortlist of potential managers who could replace Antonio Conte, should the Italian depart at the end of the season – or even before!
Conte’s departure at the season end appears to now be a foregone conclusion. He has repeatedly bemoaned our transfer activity, or rather lack there of, during his press conferences, subsequently opening up a rift between himself and the Chelsea hierarchy.
There have been suggestions that Conte is no longer in contact with Marina Granovskaia, whose power in SW6 has only increased since the departure of technical director Michael Emenalo. He’s playing a dangerous game, and he is likely to suffer the consequences for doing so.
The question on everyone’s lips is – who could replace Conte? Well, wonder no longer. The Telegraph believe it likely that one of the following nine managers will come in to take the hot seat.
Luis Enrique, Massimiliano Allegri, Diego Simeone, Maurizio Sarri, Brendan Rodgers, Zinedine Zidane, Guus Hiddink, Marco Silva, Frank Lampard.
