AS Monaco prodigy Kylian Mbappe’s uncle has revealed that his supremely talented nephew has a soft spot for Premier League leaders Chelsea.
The Sun quote Mbappe’s uncle, Pierre Mbappe, who reveals that the French international watches Chelsea regularly, as well as several other of the Blues’ fellow European heavyweights:
“Kylian does not need to watch Juventus before their Champions League meeting because he already knows Juve very well. He watched their games every week and he’s been doing it for very long time. He also watches Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea.”
Mbappe has been in scintillating form for Monaco this campaign. He has directly contributed to 18 goals in Ligue 1 this term, having bagged 13 goals and provided five assists for his teammates. In total he has been involved in a goal every 65 minutes in France’s top division – he’s only 18-years-old.
It comes as no surprise that, according to The Sun, Mbappe is being courted by a host Europe’s biggest sides – including La Liga giants Barcelona.
His uncle, Pierre, went on to leave the door open to a potential move away from Monaco when the time is right, as The Sun report:
“Anything can happen in the future, but he’s very happy at Monaco, we’ll talk about it at the right time.”
If he has, as his uncle claims, been watching the Blues in action this season – he will likely have been impressed with what he’s seen.
