Chelsea left-back Baba Rahmann has been impressing Antonio Conte in training and could be registered for the Blues’ Premier League squad, according to The Sun.
Baba was shipped out on loan to Schalke upon Conte’s arrival at Stamford Bridge last summer. After initially impressing after returning to the Bundesliga, Baba’s season was cut short after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament at the African Cup of Nations. He has not featured since, but is back in Chelsea training and it looks as though he’s beginning to make an impression.
The Sun claim that Baba has been impressing Conte and is pushing to find game-time in West London. The tabloid note that the Ghanian could be registered for Chelsea’s Premier League squad after initially not making the cut.
On paper, he looks to be the right man to provide Marcos Alonso with competition and deputise for him in the Spaniard’s absence.
