Victor Moses
Victor Moses receives treatment from the Chelsea medical team after pulling up short against Crystal Palace.

Victor Moses was forced off during Chelsea’s clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

The Nigerian stretched for the ball and immediately pulled up and fell to the ground. It was clear that he was unable to continue and was subsequently replaced by deadline day signing Davide Zappacosta.

It’s the third hamstring injury that the Premier League champions have suffered in the space of two weeks. First Alvaro Morata against Manchester City, then N’Golo Kante on international duty with France, and now Moses.

Antonio Conte needs to either rotate his side or tone down the training regime, as with the long and treacherous season that lies ahead, he cannot afford to have his players dropping like flies with muscle injuries.

We hope that Moses’ injury is merely a strain and not a tear and he gets back on the field as soon as possible. We’re going to need him…

It was such a painful defeat to Chelsea today, and for Moses, I pray he along with the other important players who are out injured recover in no time and resume training ASAP.
