Marco Verratti’s agent has revealed that he is set to hold talks with PSG over his client’s future.
The Sun quote Verratti’s representative Donato Di Campli, who reveals that he will meet with the Ligue 1 giant’s hierarchy to discuss the Italian’s future:
“We’ll ask for a meeting with the club to discuss Marco’s future. The club have said that Marco won’t leave so we have to respect the will of the club.
According to The Sun, Verratti is a target for Premier League leaders Chelsea. Antonio Conte has worked with the PSG star previously with the Italian national team, and appears to be keen on a summer reunion with the 24-year-old.
Verratti has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world in recent seasons. His performances both domestically and in Europe have earned him widespread adulation, and according to The Sun, Chelsea are keen to add him to their ranks.
The Blues’ pursuit of Verratti will not be straightforward, however. The Sun believe that Barcelona are in pole position to secure his signature, with several other Premier League clubs also said to be interested.
