Chelsea host Sunderland today on the final day of the season, and it is sure to be a day of mixed emotions for everyone involved in the football club.
Antonio Conte’s men are Premier League champions, and nobody can say they don’t deserve to have their name on the trophy. At approximately 5pm this afternoon, the Chelsea players, and staff, will be presented with the Premier League crown.
However, amid all the celebrations, we also mourn the departure of one of the greatest players ever to step foot on the Stamford Bridge turf – John Terry. The Chelsea captain has won everything there is to be won in England, and leaves having etched his name into the club’s hall of fame.
Today we close the curtains on an excellent Premier League season, and despite the emotional undertones, it’s very much time to party.
