Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier has been waxing lyrical about Chelsea winger and Belgium international teammate Eden Hazard – and understandably so!
Meunier will have seen first-hand during Belgium training just how explosive, and often utterly unplayable Hazard is. Another player that he faces off with on a regular basis on the training ground is Neymar, who arrived at the Parc des Princes in a world-record deal during the summer transfer window.
According to Meunier’s well-informed opinion, there is not much to separate the two superstars. The 26-year-old PSG defender is quoted by Football London as saying:
“Eden and Neymar are on the same level of ability. To my mind Eden could play for PSG with his hands tied behind his back. It would be a fantastic transfer for us.”
Until his final day as a footballer, there will likely be no shortage in securing Hazard’s services. He is inarguably one of the most talented players on the planet, any side would be lucky to have him.
From a Chelsea fan’s perspective, we hope that nobody comes knowing, but Meunier believes he could play for either Spanish heavyweight, as well as joining him in Paris. Football London quote Meunier, who says:
“Eden would be good enough to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona as well. He could play anywhere.”
