Eden Hazard is back!
The Chelsea winger broke his ankle on international duty with Belgium in early June. The original prognosis was that he would miss the start of the Premier League season.
Hazard was forced to sit out the Blues’ early-season games against Burnley, Tottenham and Everton, but did feature for Chelsea U23 side in hope of discovering his match-sharpness.
Eyebrows were raised when Roberto Martinez called Hazard up for his international squad for Belgium’s upcoming games. If he was not fit enough to feature for his club, who rely so heavily upon him, how could be be fit to represent his country?
Well, he appears to be absolutely fine, in Martinez’s eyes anyway. Hazard starts for Belgium this evening against Gibraltar this evening. In fact, he captains the side.

Let’s hope his ankle holds up, and it’s great to see that he is back in contention. He’ll be like a new signing!
