Former Arsenal forward Charlie Nicholas has urged his ex-employers to cash-in on talisman Alexis Sanchez in the summer, report talkSPORT.
Nicholas made 151 league appearances for the Gunners between the years of 1983 and 1988, finding the back of the net on 34 occasions. His service to the club has certainly earned him the right to share his opinion on the club’s current affairs – and that’s exactly what he’s done.
talkSPORT quote Nicholas, who urges Arsenal to sell Sanchez to Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window:
“I would sell him. Get him out. If he wants to go to Chelsea and Chelsea want to pay £60million, I would sell him to Chelsea.”
If Sanchez is willing to move to Stamford Bridge this summer, it would be absurd for Antonio Conte to not make a move. The Chilean has scored 19 Premier League goals this campaign, and has also provided nine assists for his teammates.
That sort of contribution is wasted at Arsenal, who currently sit in sixth place in the league table. The thought of seeing Sanchez lining up in the same attack in Eden Hazard next campaign is utterly mouthwatering.
