Chelsea captain Gary Cahill believes that Alvaro Morata will be fully fit for Wednesday’s match against Roma, the Daily Mail reports.
This is a big boost for the Blues after N’Golo Kante and Victor Moses will be out for the Champions League match. Along with back to back league defeats against Manchester City and Crystal Palace. Its likely Antonio Conte will start Morata after Michy Batshuayi’s disappointing performance at Selhurst Park.
The striker has been recovering from an ankle injury he suffered against City during the international break. Originally, there were fears Morata would be out for several months. However, the club’s medical team insisted the striker would be back in a few weeks.
Morata has been back in training this week with Cahill speaking about his teammate’s current condition, as the Daily Mail reports.
The Daily Mail quotes Cahill saying:
“He is back out on the pitch and hopefully he keeps progressing okay.”
Hopefully Morata can be the fuel that ignites the Blues’ flame as we hope to get back to winning ways. Whilst edging further to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
