Frank Lampard believes that Chelsea winger Eden Hazard can reach a similar level to Barcelona and Real Madrid superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, report the Metro.
Messi and Ronaldo have dominated football for the best part of a decade now. Their unbelievable form for club and country has seen their name firmly etched into the game’s hall of fame.
Since his emergence at Lille, Hazard has been earmarked as one of their successors, but is yet to reach that level. Primarily it’s his goalscoring record that has let him down, but Lampard appears to think that the Belgian can reach the very top level at some point in the future.
The Metro quote the Chelsea legend, who says:
“If Eden Hazard’s on his game he’s got the magic that we talk about with the Messi’s and Ronaldo’s – he can get towards that level.”
Hazard is far and away our best and most important player. When he’s on song, Chelsea often take home the three points. Antonio Conte is right not to rush him back into the side, but we are all itching to see him in action.
