A Chelsea player covered the most ground in the Premier League over the weekend, but it wasn’t N’Golo Kante, as the Mirror report.
Since the day he stepped foot on these shores, the nation has been familiar with Kante’s incredible work-ethic. If football didn’t work out for the Frenchman, he could have been a professional marathon runner.
However, Kante looks to have been lazier than usual at the weekend as Chelsea locked-horns with title rivals Manchester City. As reported by the Mirror, he was beaten by one of his teammates in the top ten who covered the most ground in the Premier League over the weekend.
Three Chelsea players made the Mirror’s list. The first was Marcos Alonso, who ran 12.10km on Saturday evening, the eighth most in the league. In third place was Kante, who ran 12.39km, narrowly beaten by Jay Rodriguez’s commendable 12.56km
But the player who covered the most ground in the Premier League over the weekend, as revealed by the Mirror was… Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas has never been known for his work-ethic, but he put in a shift against Man City. Long may his tireless work continue!
