AC Milan appear to have swooped in and stolen Real Madrid hitman Alvaro Morata from under Antonio Conte’s nose.
According to the Gazzetta, Morata is not prepared to wait for advances from Chelsea or Manchester United, and could instead be set for a move to the San Siro.
The Gazzetta report that Milan are preparing to offer a £6.5million-a-year deal to the Spain international. The Italian new outlet also believe that Milan will offer Real Madrid a whopping £52million to try and convince them to part with Morata.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will move to match Milan’s offer, or instead look elsewhere for offensive reinforcements.
The Sun reported earlier today that both AS Monaco and West Ham are interested in signing Michy Batshuayi, who they believe is keen on a return to France. If the Belgium international departs, Conte may find himself in need of a new centre-forward.
If the Gazzetta are to be believed, however, Morata will likely not be that man.
