Chelsea have been offered significant encouragement in their pursuit of Juventus midfield general Arturo Vidal.
Antonio Conte previously worked with Vidal during their time at Juventus. It was where they both established themselves among the best in the world in their respective professions, manager and midfielder, and enjoyed the most successful period of their careers so far.
Vidal remains one of the best midfielders on the planet, and has been instrumental in Bayern Munich’s recent successes after returning to the Bundesliga in the summer of 2015.
However, it looks as though the Chilean’s time at the Allianz Arena could soon be coming to an end. SportBild reporter Christian Falk revealed on Twitter that Bayern had decided to part with Vidal, opposed to midfield counterpart Thiago Alcantara, in the summer.
It will be @kingarturo23 who will be sold

The Sun reported at the beginning of the January transfer window that Chelsea were looking to sign the combative Chilean. There was even a suggestion that we lodged an official £33M opening offer. However, the move never materialised and Vidal remained in Munich.
In the summer he will have just 12-months remaining on his contract with Bayern, and thus we may be provided with an opportunity to sign him on a cheap.
However, it is club policy to offer players over 30 a one-year rolling contract. It seems unlikely that Vidal would agree to a move to Stamford Bridge unless we were prepared to break that policy and entice him with a more appealing proposal.
