Antonio Conte has suffered a blow in his pursuit of summer reinforcements.
The Sun cite French newspaper Le Soir in reporting that AS Monaco have agreed a £21.2million fee with Anderlecht for prodigy Youri Tielemans.
According to The Sun, Tielemans was on the radar of Premier League champions Chelsea, but he appears to be heading to France, having rejected a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Sun report that Manchester United were also in the running, but both sides will have to look elsewhere in their respective bids to strengthen their midfields.
Tielemans is widely considered one of the most exciting young prospects on the planet, so it comes as no surprise that there was so much interest in securing his signature. It does, unfortunately, look as though Monaco will be victorious in the race to sign him. It seems to be the perfect place for him to continue with his development.
