Bayern Munich could make a move to sign Chelsea winger Willian this summer, according to German outlet Abendzeitung.
Abendzeitung report that Bayern’s number one target is Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez, but Willian could be a back-up option if the Bundesliga champions fail in their pursuit of the Chilean.
Abendzeitung note that Douglas Costa could be on his way out of the Allianz Arena this summer, with Juventus said to be interested. With Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery both entering the swan-song of their careers, Abendzeitung believe that Willian could be a worthy acquisition.
However, Abendzeitung report that the fact Willian still has three years remaining on his contract with Chelsea could prove to be a stumbling block. Only time will tell.
Willian was very much on the fringes last campaign, with Pedro occupying the spot on the right-side of Antonio Conte’s forward line. He did, however, manage his best goal haul in a Chelsea shirt – it would be a shame to see him go, but he’s too good to sit on the bench.
