AFC Bournemouth appear to be set to raid Premier League champions Chelsea this summer.
According to the Guardian, the Cherries are interested in signing not one, but two Chelsea stars in the upcoming transfer window.
The Guardian report that Bournemouth will look to sign Nathan Ake, who spent half the season on loan at Bournemouth, and established himself as a cornerstone in Eddie Howe’s defence – but he is not the only Chelsea player who could be making the 103 mile trip to the Vitality Stadium this summer.
The Guardian believe that Chelsea back-up goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is also a target for Bournemouth, and the £12million move is expected to materialise this summer.
Convincing Antonio Conte to part with Ake is expected to be more complicated, but the Guardian believe that Chelsea could raise £30million from the sale of the pair. If Conte was given the opportunity to invest that money back into his squad, he may well be tempted to give the green light to their sales.
