Chelsea ‘reach personal terms agreement’, £54M bid on the table, clock ticking

Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Nabil Fekir ahead of a deadline day move, according to CaughtOffside.

After a report emerged claiming that Chelsea had placed a €60M plus bonuses bid for the Lyon midfielder, CaughtOffside have provided further information on our *supposed* pursuit of the World Cup winner.

We’re still taking this news with a pinch of salt. There’s less than two hours to go until the end of the transfer window. If Chelsea were serious about signing Fekir, we would have made our move earlier.

Regardless, CaughtOffside believe that personal terms have been agreed between Chelsea and Fekir – all that remains is striking an agreement with Lyon (the most important and difficult part of a transfer).

Their report claims that Chelsea have offered £54M plus add-ons, while Lyon are demanding £60M. If there is no agreement over a fee at this stage, the deal isn’t going to go through.

We may never know how genuine our interest in Fekir was. Perhaps we will find out in a future transfer window – we’ll have to wait and see!
