Chelsea have been handed a major boost in their reported pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches, report Calciomercato.
As per Calciomercato, Chelsea hold an interest in signing Sanches, alongside Premier League counterparts Manchester United. Both Jose Mourinho and his former employers have been offered significant encouragement in their respective pursuits of the Portugal international.
Calciomercato claim that negotiations to take Sanches to the San Siro and become the latest household name to join the AC Milan revolution have stalled. It is reported that Milan are only interested in signing Sanches on loan, whereas Bayern would rather part with him on a permanent basis.
The Italian outlet note that Milan still very much lead the race to secure Sanches’ services, but if Chelsea and Man United are also in the running to sign him, as Calciomercato suggest, they may well look to take full advantage of the Rossoneri’s stumble and exploit it in their favour.
