Chelsea could make a move to sign Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling should he be deemed surplus to requirements at his current employers next year, according to the Telegraph.
Sterling is widely considered one of the most promising young wingers in Europe, and is one of the most talent players that the England national team have been blessed with in recent years.
However, as per the Telegraph, several of Manchester City’s rivals believe that Sterling will be placed on the transfer market in a year’s time.
The Telegraph believe that City’s Premier League counterparts hold the opinion that he will be sacrificed when Pep Guardiola’s team takes shape at the Etihad.
The Telegraph claim that in the event that Sterling did become available, it could be a straight fight between Chelsea are Arsenal to secure his services. Only time will tell if the Blues will be provided with an opportunity to draft in Sterling.
