Chelsea could still be in the race to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to the Telegraph.
As per the Telegraph, Manchester City have launched a £60M bid to sign the Chilean. It is reported that Pep Guardiola’s side would be willing to pay him an astronomical £400K-a-week in hope that he can be tempted to move to the Etihad this summer.
The Telegraph suggest that Chelsea could provide City with competition in the race to sign his services. The Telegraph’s Matt Law claims that Chelsea have shown strong interest in signing Sanchez, but were not convinced that they would be able to strike a deal with the Gunners over his transfer.
The Telegraph report that Chelsea could re-enter the race to sign Sanchez following their opening day defeat to Burnley, but so far there is no suggestion that we will do so.
The prospect of having Eden Hazard and Sanchez flanking Alvaro Morata is mouthwatering. Get it done, Roman.
Signing Sanchez would have been Chelsea FC first priority, however get him and a midfielder to compliment the departure of matic since fabrigas is under suspension currently so we can collectively with the game in all cylinders
