Chelsea are looking to complete a stunning £100M triple deal to sign three England internationals before the end of the transfer window, according to the Telegraph.
The first of the three, as per the Telegraph, is Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. He is able to play as a left or right-wing-back, as well as in central-midfield or on either wing. That versatility would undoubtedly be of great use to Antonio Conte in the long and treacherous season that we have ahead of us. It is claimed that the Blues are set to lodge a £35M bid for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has just one year remaining on his contract with the Gunners.
The Telegraph also claim that Chelsea are growing confident that a deal can be struck to sign Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City, despite the Blues having a £15M bid rejected. It’s reported that the Foxes value Drinkwater in the region of £40M.
Chelsea will not be finished there, however. According to the Telegraph, Chelsea are also determined to sign £25M-rated Ross Barkley from Everton, despite Tottenham seemingly leading the race to sign him.
In total, Chelsea could be set to splash as much as £100M on home-grown talent before the transfer window closes on August 31st.
