Chelsea have begun negotiating a deal with Swansea City for the transfer of Spain international striker Fernando Llorente, according to Sky Sports.
As per Sky Sports, Paul Clement will allow the 32-year-old forward to move to Stamford Bridge if the Welsh side can strike a deal for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.
Despite having already signed one Spanish striker this summer, it appears that Conte has a soft spot for Iberian forwards and is looking to secure a deal for Llorente before the close of the window.
The former Athletic Bilbao striker played a huge role in preventing the Swans from being relegated last season as he scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for Paul Clement’s side.
Yet, if Llorente signs for Chelsea, it will not be the first time that the Spaniard has worked under Chelsea’s Italian manager. During a brief stint at Juventus, Llorente scored 23 goals in 66 appearances, winning the Serie A title.
