Chelsea are interested in signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Sports.
Perisic has enjoyed a fine season for the Serie A heavyweights, having found the back of the net ten times and providing six assists for his teammates in Italy’s top tier. That sort of goal contribution has put a hefty price-tag on his head.
Sky Sports report that Inter value the Croatia international between £48million and £52million, which would see him become one of the most expensive acquisitions in Chelsea’s history.
Sky Sports believe that Chelsea are not alone in the race to sign Perisic, as Manchester United have already lodged a £36million bid. However, that is considerably less than what Sky Sports believe is Inter’s asking price.
Inter would undoubtedly miss his influence if he were to depart this summer, but according to Sky Sports, they could be convinced to cash-in for the right price. Only time will tell if Antonio Conte is willing to pay such an inflated figure.
