We live in a period riddled with fake transfer news. No wonder we all have trust issues, we’re being lied to by some of the world’s biggest media outlets.

Oftentimes, it can be a challenge to filter through the genuine news from the falsities that have been published alongside. However, this latest report from Spanish outlet Diario Gol (via the Daily Star), make no mistake, is quite evidently bullsh*t.

According to Diario Goal, Chelsea are interested in re-signing, wait for it, Mohamed Salah. Not only that, but we’re prepared to fork out £175M in order to recapture the services of a player we sold for peanuts just a few years ago.

Mohamed Salah celebrates after scoring in the 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield in November.

Salah has developed into one of the best on the planet, which is precisely why we don’t have a hope in hell of signing him. Salah is a Liverpool player and they adore him. He has been provided with a platform to showcase his Ballon D’Or credentials.

Chelsea could not replicate that favour in our current state.

Why should we pay out $175m for Salah when there is also ‘Talk’ about seeking out Higuin for $50m??
Someone like Higuin and several returned youngsters and Chelsea could get through this transfer window for much less !!
