Chelsea have shown an interest in signing Paris Saint-Germain goal-machine Edinson Cavani following the striker’s feud with teammate Neymar, according to the Daily Mail.
As the Daily Mail report, Cavani and Neymar clashed over deciding who would take a penalty for PSG at the weekend, which has sparked rumours of a rift between the pair. The tabloid note that the Ligue 1 heavyweights are keen to cool those rumours, but that doesn’t appear to have stopped a host of clubs from showing an interest.
The Daily Mail believe that Premier League champions Chelsea are one of those. It is reported that the Blues, along with Napoli and Everton, are keeping a keen eye on the situation at the Parc des Princes, with Juventus and Inter Milan also said to be interested.
The Daily Mail note that Cavani earns £120K-a-week at PSG, which works out at roughly £6.2M-a-year. Only time will tell if Chelsea would be prepared to turn their interest into a concrete proposal.
