Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek may well be on the move this summer.
Loftus-Cheek excelled for our youth sides, and was subsequently handed a place in the first-team squad by Jose Mourinho last season. Antonio Conte has kept him around this term, but he has struggled to break into the Italian’s starting side.
The London Evening Standard believe that Loftus-Cheek is not content with his lack of game time, and has asked to go out on loan next season. The Standard believe that Chelsea still think highly of Loftus-Cheek, and there will be no shortage of interest if he is shipped out on loan.
According to the Standard, Brighton, Watford, Middlesbrough and Swansea are all in the race to sign Loftus-Cheek on loan this summer. Three of those would be able to provide the 21-year-old with invaluable game-time in the Premier League. The Standard report that Chelsea will only loan the starlet to a side who can promise him regular first-team football.
