Chelsea could be set to make major developments in their pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, if the Daily Star are to be believed.
It seems silly to be discussing Chelsea splashing out on a new left-wing-back, Marcos Alonso is undeniably one of the best in the country. No defender in the Premier League has scored more goals since he made his Chelsea debut than Alonso. He has found the back of the net ten times during that period, including a stunning free-kick against Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

However, the Daily Star appear to believe that we are still in the market for a replacement, and Juventus’ Alex Sandro could be that man. The report claims that the Blues were prepared to pay £70M to recruit the Brazilian over the summer, but the move never materialised. It’s thought that an offer in the region of £50M could now be enough to see Sandro join the Premier League champions.

The transfer window is just around the corner, let’s wait and see…
