Chelsea are set to make a £25M move to sign Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Express.
As per the Express, Oxlade-Chamberlain has just one year remaining on his current deal with the Gunners, and rejected a contract extension last month.
The Express believe that Antonio Conte is ready to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding the England international’s future.
It is reported that Conte wants to use Oxlade-Chamberlain as a wing-back, a role in which he impressed after Arsene Wenger’s switch to a 3-4-3 system last term.
The Express claim that Chelsea will now make a £25M move to try and prise Oxlade-Chamberlain away from the Emirates. Our pursuit of the 23-year-old will not be straightforward, however.
The Express report that Liverpool are also interested in securing his services this summer. It also seems unlikely that Arsenal would be willing to allow him leave to a direct Premier League rival.
Only time will tell if Oxlade-Chamberlain will be a Chelsea player come the end of the transfer window.
