He had previously been linked with a move to La Liga, but this Chelsea star has now insisted that he will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

There has been continual speculation over Chelsea’s best players being poached by Spanish heavyweights Barcelona and Real Madrid. Both clubs’ positions at the top of the football world are firmly cemented – they’re to of the food chain.

As the Daily Star reported previously, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague revealed that Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois are top of Real Madrid’s shopping list for the summer transfer window.

Willian was then quoted by the Daily Mail revealing that it was his ‘dream’ to play for either Real Madrid or Barcelona, suggesting that he would leave Chelsea if given the opportunity to join either side.

However, Willian has now committed his long-term future to the Premier League champions, revealing that he would be happy to sign a contract extension. The Brazilian is quoted by the Express saying:

“My goal is to stay here at Chelsea. Unless Chelsea does not want me anymore, there you have to find another club.”

“Staying here for many more years. Even if it is possible to renew contract. About this, we have not talked yet. It might happen. I’m adapted.”

“I’m five years old at the end of the season, I’ve won titles. Anyway, I have the fan’s affection too. I intend to continue here until the end of my contract, to renew, to continue for more years.”

Especially with the electric form Willian has been in recently – this is great news!
