Antonio Conte appears to be facing stern competition in his pursuit of attacking reinforcements.
As Calciomercato report, the Italian is a keen admirer of Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi, and may well make a move to secure his signature. However, the Italian outlet believe that one of Sassuolo’s Serie A counterparts may pip Chelsea to the post.
According to Calciomercato, Inter Milan have met with Sassuolo to discuss a potential deal to sign Berardi. It is reported that Sassuolo will demand a fee in the region of £36.5million in exchange for their prize asset, a fee that Chelsea would comfortably be able to afford. However, Inter appear to have a bargaining chip that could give them the edge in the race to sign the 22-year-old.
Calciomercato believe that Inter could include attacker Gianluca Caprari, who is currently on loan at Pescara, in any potential deal, as Sassuolo are thought to be interested in signing the Italian. Conte may have to look elsewhere in his quest to bolster his forward line.
