Michy Batshuayi could be the next Chelsea youngster to join our vast loan army.
Batshuayi has been starved of game-time in his debut season in a Chelsea shirt, having played just 300 minutes of football in the Premier League.
However, he has still managed to showcase his talent in that time, having scored five goals and provided an assist. That’s a direct goal contribution every 60 minutes. His good performances do not appear to have gone unnoticed.
According to ESPN, West Ham are interested in signing Batshuayi on loan this summer. ESPN report that the Hammers tried to sign the Belgium international before he joined Chelsea, and could try and secure his services once more.
ESPN report that Chelsea are reluctant to part with Batshuayi, but could be open to the idea of loaning him in order for him to play regular first-team football and continue his development. Only time will tell if Batshuayi will still be a Chelsea player next season.
