Chelsea’s hopes of keeping Thibaut Courtois beyond this summer have been boosted as Real Madrid are searching for other goalkeeper targets, The Standard reports.
The Spanish side seem reluctant to spend in excess of £50m for the Belgian shot-stopper and could turn their attentions to Hadjuk Split goalkeeper Karlo Letica.
However, despite a cool of interest from Real, contract negotiations between Courtois and the Blues continue to stall.

The 25-year-old’s current deal at Chelsea expires at the end of next season and it appears the situation won’t be resolved until the end of this campaign. The stumbling block may well be the uncertainty over our status in the Champions League next season.
Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Courtois with the player’s agent holding informal talks with the Ligue 1 club, as The Standard reports.
It’s set to be a long summer for Courtois, not just off the field but also on it with the likelihood of featuring in the World Cup this summer.
