Cesc Fabregas waved goodbye to the Chelsea supporters following our 0-0 draw with Southampton as he prepares to sign for Monaco this transfer window.
Fabregas’ future at Chelsea has been in doubt for some time now, with the Spaniard’s contract with the Blues set to expire at the end of the season.
Maurizio Sarri has previously stated that he needs Fabregas to play deputy to Jorginho this season, but it looks as though he’ll be in need of a replacement this winter.
As Goal, and various other publications, have reported, Fabregas is closing in on becoming a Monaco player, where he will reunite with former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry.
Fabregas has been a great servant to this football club and has built an unexpected rapport with the Chelsea fans (considering he’s a former Arsenal captain).
He took it upon himself to wave goodbye to the Blues faithful after the the final whistle at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
