Fan arrested at Tottenham vs. Chelsea for “racially aggravated public order offence”

A 17-year-old has been arrested at Wembley this evening for what is described as a “racially aggravated public order offence.”

Chelsea have been getting a bad rep in recent weeks and months following a string of racist and homophobic behaviour from our fans. The media have ensured to twist the knife as much as possible, but the guilty offenders have fully deserved the punishments they have received.

In wake of this recent events, this information that has been shared by the Metropolitan Police is of great concern to us.

Chelsea fans have been warned about the use of the word ‘Yid’ ahead of this game, and though there is no evidence that this particular incident is linked to that, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise.

It’s worth noting that there is also no evidence that the person in question here was a Chelsea supporter. We await further information about this incident and the punishment that the offender is in line to receive.

It is a great shame that this kind of abhorable behaviour is continually distracting from what’s happening on the field of play. It needs to stop, now.
