Chelsea face West London rivals Fulham on Saturday evening and the Blues will be looking to get their Premier League form back on track after only winning one out of the last five matches.
In yesterday’s press conference, Lampard confirmed there are no absentees, except for the suspended N’Golo Kante (chelseafc.com).
It has been almost two weeks since the Blues last played in the Premier League, and it seems the break has done them well. The benefit of a fully fit squad leaves the Chelsea boss with a pleasant selection dilemma.
Predicted XI
Edouard Mendy will return between the sticks against Fulham. While Reece James is more than likely to take his place at right-back after coming back from injury. With Ben Chilwell reining to the left-back position after Emerson replaced the Englishman in our last FA Cup match. Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma will be the preferred centre-back pairing.
In midfield, Billy Gilmour has a very good chance of occupying the six-position, in the absence of N’Golo Kante. The two attacking eight positions will be occupied by Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, with both players looking to continue improving their form.
Lastly, in the attack, Lampard has a plethora of options. However, Timo Werner will likely continue as the lone striker after Lampard admitted that he has been working individually with the German lately, trying to help him understand his role there better. Flanking him will be Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi, leaving Christan Pulisic on the bench. The American is slowly getting back to his best, but the creativity of Ziyech and the form of Hudson-Odoi puts him out of the starting XI.
